Ithildin - the Sindarin word that means "starmoon". In The Lord of the Rings ithildin was the material used to illuminate the West-gate of Moria.
It mirrors only starlight and moonlight.
During it's time online, Ithildin was my little place on the web to showcase my Lord of the Rings art and graphics. It was my small attempt at mirroring the lovely light of J.R.R. Tolkien's wonderful story. After two years and over 26, 600 visitors, I feel that my small fan site has run its course. I have greatly appreciated all of the encouragement, praise, and feedback that I received from everyone who visited the site during its lifespan. Through this site I've had a lot of fun and met some wonderful people. A huge thank you goes out to all of you - you guys rock!
Ithildin may be going away, but I'm incorporating all of the wallpapers and icons from here into my collective. So no worries, you can still find all of those goodies there!
If you're looking for my artwork then I suggest you try my portfolio or my sketch blog. You can also find my artwork online at my deviantArt gallery. Quite a few of my Lord of the Rings pictures are scattered throughout that gallery.
Thanks again to all of you! It's been a great run, but in the words of Robert Frost, "Nothing gold can stay."
