I was in the mood to make a new piratey picture, and after looking through a bunch of Howard Pyle's artwork and AilinStock's stock gallery,
I found the perfect inspiration. This picture is based on this stock photo. I drew it in brown pencil and
then painted over it with ink washes on an 18"x24" piece of watercolor paper. Then I scanned it into my computer
and painted in the rest of the colors in Photoshop. The finished picture measures 20"x30". It was completed in May of 2007.
