Noteworthy Illustration Work
  • The Old Sculpin Gallery / Martha's Vineyard Art Association - 2007
    Redesigned the gallery's logo for use on official letterhead and t-shirts.

  • ImagineFX Magazine, Issue # 14, February 2007
    Included in a selected artist feature on the supplemental DVD that came with the issue.

  • The Voyage to Ruin - 2006, Published in 2007
    Illustrated the book cover for the hard cover release of The Voyage to Ruin by H.L. Trombley.

  • Extreme Fission LLC - 2006
    Was commissioned to do some character design work for an interactive online game.

  • Leading Edge Magazine, Issue # 51 - April 2006
    Was commissioned to make several black and white illustrations to accompany the short story Handel's Duelist by Ramon Rozas III.

  • Chilmark Housing Committee - 2003
    Designed a t-shirt for the Chilmark Housing Committee in order to raise money and awareness for the Martha's Vineyard housing crisis during the summer of 2003.

  • NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory - 2002-2003
    Illustrations of astronomers of historical note and panoramic scenes for the planetarium show Ring World.

  • Old Sculpin Gallery
    Edgartown, Massachusetts
    June - August 2005, June - August 2006, June - October 2007, June - August 2008
    Instructor for children's art classes, ages 7 to 12, and teen art classes, ages 13 to 19 (the teen classes were only in 2005 & 2006). Involved working within a budget to purchase materials, developing lesson plans, and handling registration for the classes. Also worked at the main desk in the gallery, handling art sales and office tasks. Gained experience communicating with management, gallery patrons, and artists.

    Four years as an assistant staff person for the arts and crafts program, four years as head of the arts and crafts program. Volunteered for one summer prior to starting employment. Involved working within a budget to purchase materials, organizing and teaching art projects to children from ages 6 to 12, and directing a staff of 2 to 4 other people.


Computer/Technical Skills
Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Director, Peak, Lightwave, word processing, HTML, and FTP. Proficient with both Macs and PCs, experience with scanning and Wacom tablet use. Experience with digital and analog video editing.

Traditional Art Skills
Formal art training in painting, illustration, small scale metal working, and ceramics. Versatile with many media.

Activities
  • Volunteer at the Annual Chilmark 5k Roadrace for the summers of 2000 - 2007.
  • Volunteer at the annual fundraising book sale at the Chilmark Library, summers of 2000 - 2005.
  • Participant in the Hammered and Tanked metalsmithing show at Syracuse University, October 2003.
  • Runway model in the Spring 2003 Syracuse University Fashion Show.
  • St. Thomas the Apostle Church - Rochester, New York
    Work making posters for various church events and dinners, as well as posters, programs, and props for the annual Murder Mystery Play. Also designed a T-shirt for the St. Thomas the Apostle Habitat for Humanity 5K fundraiser.
