Here is a piece that I started drawing today in Photoshop. He's going to be either a sailor or a pirate (I'm still deciding), and I'm planning to put an ocean type scene behind him.

After seeing the new King Kong, where my favorite character was Captain Englehorn, I decided I felt like drawing a profile with a captain's hat. I looked at a still from the movie to see how to draw the hat, but other than that I just kept it relatively loose. I don't plan on taking this rough sketch any father than this.
