My best friend Katie asked me to make a painting of her dog Matilda, who passed away towards the end of last year. Matilda was a sweet dog, so I was all too happy to carry out Katie's request. This is an oil painting on a 14" x 18" inch canvas. I used some photos that Katie sent me of Matilda for reference. My apologies for the slightly blurry photo - my camera picked a poor time to start being tempermental.

I've joined a group on Live Journal called Art Memes, and this week their subject for everyone to draw was Lancelot. After a few different (and crappy) ideas were sketched out, I decided to go with more of a typical Arthurian Lancelot. So here he is, being all angsty and whatnot. This was sketched in pencil and then painted in Photoshop with my tablet. The painting was kept relatively loose mainly because I was pressed for time. Lancelot was an angsty guy. You would be too, if you were loyal to your king but were hopelessly in love with his wife. Lancelot was totally the emo kid of Camelot.

After I made my first contribution to the giant Batgirl meme last night, I decided that I wasn't happy with it. So shortly after I finished the first one I went ahead and drew this second one. I like it much better than my first Batgirl.

This is my contribution to the giant Batgirl meme that's been making the rounds on Live Journal. I went for the obvious superhero version, but in Technicolor! A stealthy Batgirl she's not. Anyhow, I didn't have too much time to spend on it, so there ya go.
