I'm not quite sure when I'll next get to post some drawings here, so I'm posting a handful of things today. First up is a commissioned illustration that I recently finished, featuring Cassandra, the prophetess from Greek legend. The main figure was drawn in pencil and everything else was done in Photoshop.
The guy in this sketch will eventually be leaning against a wooden fence, maybe with some crates and oddly labeled barrels around him. I'm planning to color it in Photoshop.
This is from that pirate drawing I started ages and ages ago, but then had to stop working on it due to school assignments. I opened it up again the other night and fixed a bunch of errors in his face that were bugging the heck out of me. The rest of the picture still has a long way to go.
Lastly, this is a character from an animated movie called Unico and the Island of Magic that I used to watch when I was little - none of my friends have ever heard of it, though there are a few web sites devoted to the Unico movies scattered around the net. Anyhow, this was Toby, who walked around playing a magical flute and wore what I can best describe as some kind of bug costume. Unfortunately, my copy of the movie was on Beta, and therefore can no longer be watched.
As I had mentioned before, sketch blog updates might be a bit scarce for the next few weeks because I'm going to be traveling to a location with slow internet. But feel free to hop by my LiveJournal, because that will probably be the place that I'll be updating most frequently.

I made a few sketches tonight while I was watching Return of the King. Hence, an elf maiden, a hobbit, and a Gondorian guard.

Just a sketchbook experiment in messing around with solid blacks.

Here's a handful of sketches from the past couple of days. Also, all of the drawings from May have now been archived.
