I recently watched the Firefly series and instantly fell in love with it. As such, some fanart was due to follow. So here is my favorite character, Captain Malcom "Mal" Reynolds. This was all colored in Photoshop with my tablet, incorporating my inked line art and my own ink spatterings.

I started this image over a year ago. but it kind of just sat around on my computer for a while. I started working on it again today and was able to make a lot of positive progress. I fixed up some trouble areas, started adding details, and just generally tried to get it moving again. Obviously it's not even near done, but it's definitely closer to that point than it was this morning.
