Supernatural is totally a guilty pleasure for me, and so was this picture. I just love those Winchester boys (Sam's my fav). Anyhow, I just thought it would be fun to do a type of illustration that could be a promo poster or something. This was done purely for fun - I did this mainly when I needed to take a break from other things I was working on. It's not perfect, but eh, like I said, this was a just for fun type thing.

Like most of my stuff lately, this was drawn on watercolor paper with brown colored pencil, painted over with watered down ink, and then I scanned it into photoshop for all of the coloring.

The season two premiere is on Thursday! Whoo!

I've gotten more requests from people to draw Jack than any other character from any story or film. I have a tendency to draw piratey people anyways, so it's a wonder that I had never gotten around to making a decent picture of Jack before. I've doodled him countless times, but never took the time to do a nicely finished picture. So here is a very long overdue Captain Jack Sparrow. Enjoy! This was drawn on watercolor paper with brown colored pencil and then painted over with a series of black ink washes to establish a base for me to work from when coloring. All color was then added in Photoshop using my tablet.

If you've been following my work, then you'll know that besides having a thing for pirates, I'm also very influenced by fairy tales. And not just the Disney versions that the general public knows, but all of the older and varied versions as well. Beauty and the Beast happens to be a particular favorite, and I've read countless different versions. For a while now I've been wanting to try tackling illustrating my own version (to do my own book would be a dream come true). This summer I had the chance to try and do at least one solid illustration. I'm pretty happy with it. This was drawn on an 11"x14" surface on watercolor paper using ink pens and ink washes.

Just a self-portrait, mainly because I wanted a new one to use for stuff online. And cause pirates are fun! This was originally drawn on watercolor paper with brown paper and painted with ink washes. All color was added with my tablet in Photoshop.

This can also be seen here in my Deviant Art gallery. The uncolored version can be seen here.

I really enjoyed the new Superman movie, Superman Returns. I went in to it with some worries but came out all smiles. I thought Brandon Routh made a great Superman. And obviously, when I like something I tend to make fanart of it. Plus, I'm a sucker for a good profile. Anyhow, this was drawn on watercolor paper with brown colored pencil and then painted over with a series of black ink washes to establish a base for me to work from when coloring. All color was then added in Photoshop using my tablet. It was finished in July of 2006. Obviously, the character Superman is owned by DC.

A larger version of this can be viewed at my portfolio, which also has a new layout. Stop by and take a look.
